About the Book

This book is fifteen chapters of fun reading that any kid could relate to and enjoy. Each chapter is full of adventures such as finding treasure and fossils as well as creating things. One chapter even tells of a language the girls made up so the boys wouldn’t know what they were talking about. There is a story of us watching a falling star land not far from the house, what it smelled like and what it looked like when we went to find it. One story tells of us saving and trying to raise 86 tadpoles in the bedroom and the crazy scene when we had little frogs hopping all over the bedroom and how Mama saved them. Once a wild boar chased us down a mountain road! One kid accidentally stepped on a nonpoisonous snake and ran wildly through the yard, bringing the neighborhood to the rescue. There are many other stories in this book that will remind you at times of “The Little Rascals” antics. The kids are all good natured, fun-loving and just enjoyed playing outside using their imaginations. It has inspired many children to get outside and explore.

About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR I grew up in a large family with a professor for a Dad and a quick-witted Mother possessing a photographic memory that allowed her to graduate high school at the age of 15. Although all of the kids tried at one time or another, we never really got away with anything. We were encouraged to use our minds and imagination, and we did. Sometimes to our demise. We also got to experience some unusual and fun discoveries, as this book shows. We could relate to "The Little Rascals" and "Cheaper By The Dozen" at the same time. This book is dedicated to my children, Melissa and Crystal and my grandchildren, Alex, Jerry, Dallas and Jadelyn who have always enjoyed hearing the stories from my youth. Yes, these stories are true. I hope you enjoy them!
