About the Book

It was time of the year when the Great Migration was taking place. All the birds that needed to travel to warmer climates were on their way. The hummingbirds were already gone. The sky was filled with the big "V" shaped formations of all types of water fowl. the beautigul grey and white bird was lost and very tired.


About the Author

KATHERINE PAULETTE was born at Ft. Benning, Georgia, to Wilburn and Dorothy Grant. She traveled all around the globe since her father was a career Army officer. She has lived in Pakistan, France and the Republic of the Philippines, along with many postings in the continental United States. She graduated from Louisiana Tech as a medical technologist and started a career that lasted almost 30 years with the Department of Defense; working at Womack Army Hospital, Ft Bragg, North Carolina; Ft Polk Army Hospital, Ft Polk, Louisiana and Little Rock Air Force Base Clinic, Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. She has served ten years as a Reserve Deputy on the Sheriff ’s Mounted Patrols of both Pulaski and Lonoke Counties in Arkansas. Katherine has four children and seven grandchildren. She enjoys time spent with family and friends; along with her dog, Cap’n Jack Sparrow, two cats and seven horses. She is also active in MADD, as a result of the death of her daughter, Ruth, at the hands of a drunk driver.
