Nature has ever been an unpredictable force. It is both the giver and taker of life. Between this beginning and end is survival. Charles is an expert on survival. After all, he had survived three tours in Vietnam. He had survived the pitfalls of raising an Autistic child with Down syndrome. He even survived the death of his wife. But now, retired and with his son Jack grown, Charles was thinking about life. He had decided to celebrate his newfound retirement by taking his son on a fishing trip to a real Montana wilderness area, complete with guide and lodging. About the Author
Sean Maitner lives in Western Michigan with his wife, Leslie; daughter Rayne; and dog Sweeney. He writes about the Michigan woods and waterways and his misadventures in them. He also enjoys writing essay and fiction as well as how-to books. If Sean is not outdoors finding something humorous to write about he is probably playing guitar or sitting at a poker table… and he’s probably bluffing.
