About the Book

I did a word study on the word meat in the Bible. In my Greek and Hebrew dictionary, it said it referred to a meal rather than meat as we understand it. From my reading of the Bible the only time people ate meat was at festivals and when they had guests. In Gen. 9:3 is the first time God said man could eat meat. In Gen. 6:3 God said that he was going to shorten man’s days to 120 yrs. so how was God going to do that I believe that Gen. 9:3 is what God did to shorten man’s days. You can observe that in the following chapters that man’s age dropped from 969 yrs. to 120 years. Daniel chapter 1 gives a great example of what just eating vegetables and drinking water will do for you. It’s the greatest example of Gen. 1:29 in the Bible. Romans 12:1&2 are the New Testaments mandate to take care of our bodies and reject what the world says is good for us to nourish our bodies. Some people ask why Jesus didn’t teach on what to eat. The Bible says Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. Science tells us if our body PH is acid we become sick. The Standard American Diet is very acid, meat especially. Which causes osteoporoses. In fact anything cooked will cause our PH to be acid. Meat also has no fiber in it, which our body needs for proper elimination. We don’t have strong enough digestive fluids to digest meat so it goes through our bodies through the rotting process which causes us to have odor problems. When meat is cooked it has no enzymes to help in the digestion process, this puts stress on the pancreas and expends a lot of energy to digest. All nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes are sensitive and destroyed by heat about 105 degrees


About the Author

I feel that the Lord was preparing me for this ministry long before I attended Health Minister training in November 2001, at Hallelujah Acres. After my Dad had two strokes in 1969 (when he was 68 years old), he began a program of vitamin therapy found in a book by Adele Davis. Within one year, the paralysis was gone and his face was straightened out. He continued to study. In 1980, he found information from T.C. Frye proclaiming a diet of 85% raw fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, with 15% cooked veggies. Dad challenged me to start eating this way too. So with this new information, I began living the living foods lifestyle. The more I studied, the more I got excited about being able to avoid all the diseases that come with old age. It was during this time that I found out about Hallelujah Acres through Victoria Bidwell and began receiving 'Back to the Garden' magazine from the very first issue. From that moment, it was always my dream to go to Hallelujah Acres and take the Health Minister training. In November of 2001, my dream came true. My ministry started small. I did the monthly potluck dinner support group in my home, and started teaching the Get Healthy! Stay Balanced!' classes. Even through very few people wanted to hear the message at first, I was not going to give up because I believed in it so strongly; then the momentum started to build. By the end of 2006, I needed a new place to have my support group because I had out grown my home. And by 2007, we had four support groups spread out in different cities around us. It's so exciting when more people want to hear the good news that you don't have to be sick! Today, in addition to countless potluck suppers and weekend retreats, I hold Thanksgiving Feasts, Christmas & New Years events. My dream is to encourage people to add raw foods to their Holiday meals instead of the traditional all cooked menu. I have authored my first addition of my Raw Recipe book as well as a children's book intitled 'Daniel's Big Test'. Now here is my second addition of my Raw Recipe Book with my studients testimonies of the improvements in their health. Through starting the Hallelujah Diet back in 1980 I have over come all of my parents' genetic weaknesses. Dad not only had strokes, he also had arthritis, sinus problems, and hardening of the arteries. Mom had lung problems, excessive coughing, and osteoporosis. I am so grateful that I found out about this lifestyle early enough in life to avoid suffering, and have the opportunity at 67 years young to help others do the same.
