The contents of this book encompass a story about Life Growing up and life in one of the Largest Jail Systems. Some of the contents are explicit and are meant to be in order to explain and describe and at times may be fiction. THE CONTENTS OF THIS BOOK IS NOT INTENDED TO DEGRADE OR HUMILIATE ANY STAFF MEMBER OR CORRECTION STAFF, IT IS ONLY THE EXPERIENCES AND THOUGHTS OF ONE INDIVIDUAL WHO WAS EMPLOYED BY THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION. For anyone who has never been inside a jail, and possibly have no knowledge of what actually transpires inside, what you are about to undertake may be difficult to believe. You will see the changes that occurred as the years go by in a system changing so rapidly, brought about by the increase in Crime, Violence and Drugs. You will feel the strengths and weaknesses of those employed in such a system and why the system operated on a “Day By Day Basis”. Read on and experience “A WAY OF LIFE”.

About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Joe Caggiano has written his second book. The first was “A WAY OF LIFE”. This was all about his life as an employee in the city jails. I do have a background of Mental Health training and also Training to be a Hostage Negotiator. I do have the ability to read people. I have been married for 52 years, have two daughters and six grandchildren. I know that it is late in life to write a book. But, at my age I have sufficient time to sit and write.
