Baby Moo

About the Book

Baby Moo is a children’s book that was written based on a real experience by the author and then embellished some. Baby Moo is a calf and was taken from her mother at birth because she was a twin and her mother couldn’t take of both of them. She went to live with her owner’s brother and was bottle fed for the first few months of her life. She was not around any cows, just horses and goats so when she was returned to the farm and put in with the other calves she was frightened. They chased her around the yard for the first few minutes but she soon realized that she too was a calf and that they were welcoming her home. The point of my story was that you may not grow up with the family that gave you birth but when you do return, you will be welcomed with open arms.

About the Author

I currently live in Minnesota and work full time as a Financial Manager. I am married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren. My hobbies are horseback riding and reading. I grew up on the South Dakota farm that is pictured in this book. I have always wanted to write a children’s book. The story I am telling here is true and when it happened it seemed like the right time to fulfill my dream. Baby Moo is still living on my brother’s farm and I hope to get more stories from her.
