About the Book
Meet Fred the Donkey the only donkey in Costa Rica to wear glasses. In this the second book about Fred‘s advantages Fred meets some animals he had never seen before and works with two other donkeys on the Coco bean farm in Costa Rica. Travel with Fred and his friends Billy and Pedro as they must take coco beans to the nearby Factory, however during their travel the trail is blocked by several down trees from a big storm the night before. So the farmer’s son must have them travel a different trail that requires them to cross a very old wooden bridge. It’s at this bridge that the donkey’s run into trouble. Working as a team with the farmer’s son none of the donkey’s get hurt when the old wooden bridge starts to fall apart. Through all of this advantage Fred still never gives up on his dream to one day work with children at the Grand Canyon, where he hopes to have them ride on him as they travel up and down the trails of the Canyon even though he knows It will take him some time to see his dream come true.
About the Author
Richard is original from Phoenix Arizona where he attended Apollo High School in Glendale AZ, there he studied creative writing. Richard has ever since enjoyed writing stories and lyrics. Richard now calls Littlestown PA a small town near Gettysburg home. Richard enjoys doing mission work and has done several mission trips to the small villages outside the town of Ciudad Quesada in Costa Rica; while there he helped to build homes for the villagers and helped with Vacation Bible School. Richard loves helping others young and old in any way he can. When Richard’s kids were little he did not want read the same old stories that he had heard as a child, so he started creating stories of his very own. One set of stories was about the Advantages of Fred the Donkey. Now that Richard’s kids are almost grown he has finally taken the time to start putting his stories down on paper and looks forward to sharing the stores with children everywhere. Richard hopes your children will enjoy the Advantages of Fred the Donkey as much as his own children have.
