About the Book

This is a story about two brothers who solve the mystery of the disappearance of their toys. In the process, they uncover the truth about an old legend of a nighttime thief, The Lawn Monster. They learn that they are more brave and resourceful than they ever thought they would be. They face issues of bullying, both by the Monster and an older classmate. They are strengthened by “ imagineering” a solution to their problems. They learn that young minds can find age appropriate solutions to large problems. Equally important, they learn that they can rely on their loyalty to each other.

About the Author

The Author lives in southwest Michigan. She told this story, one night, when Jahf and Steve wanted a scary story... It's been written, in segments and saved in journals, for many years and this last summer was "put together". Ms Stevens is a weaver, though. She started weaving over 30 years ago. She owns 5 looms that always has a project on them. She has a motto hanging in her studio that says “Don’t die with all of your colors left inside”. She decided that this book was a different color that she needed to weave. She belongs to several weavers guilds and associations. She attended Oakland University and Macomb College where she majored in Art and Elementary Education.
