“Carved indelibly on the walls of my heart is a love that tiptoed out of the shadows of your smile. Your beauty ignited the innermost peace of my soul and like flowing tresses of the night, Life's journey has a new meaning,” I wholeheartedly think that poems must be expressed by true emotions of the heart. The title of this anthology, “SECRET FLAMES,” is a compilation of the flowering thoughts and imagination of a clustered mind, searching for unknown love and happiness. For a lover interested in whatever life entails, expressing rhythms and mysteries of the heart into sweet sounding words.

About the Author

Drucilla means command for peace, derived from the latin root name “Drusilla,” I was born in the tiny island of Trinidad W. I. and my forefathers came from India. My educational career began in Trinidad at the Princes Town A.S.J.A. Primary School and Rio Claro Secondary School, until I was married at the tender age of sixteen. Later I migrated to the U.S.A. Where I achieved the G.E.D, High School Diploma Equivalent. Diploma in Journalism and Short Story Writing, Diploma in writing for Children and Teenagers, Certificate in H.H.A. State of New York. Was a proprietress, florist, Host of two television shows N.Y C. Author of romance novel “The Color of Love, also on the verge of publishing another romance novel “Scarlet,” Presently I reside with my family in Florida, U.S.A.
