About the Author
The writer’s name is Khalilullah Sharifi, an Afghan/American resident, who was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1946. His father’s side is Tajik, and his mother’s side is Pashtun “Popal zai”. He is a natively, speaks both Pashto and Dari. His Islamic knowledge (school of Fiqah) he followed from his father, who was a trainer. His general education ended at the Institute of Press in Osaka, Japan. He was an employee in the Government Press House of Afghanistan for fifteen years before the Russian invasion. He moved to America as a refugee thirty-two years ago. He is a father of two girls and two boys. He founded an Islamic center in Livermore and a mosque of Muhajireen in the San Francisco Bay area, and he ran a weekly TV program (Watch Islam) on channel 26 in 1995-2000. 16 Khalilullah Sharifi Besides the other responsibilities, he also wrote three religious books in Dari (1992, 1995, 1999).
