About the Book
Since time immemorial, telling stories has been a traditional human activity - focusing on history, news reports, and entertainment. Nowadays good public speakers often tell relevant funny stories in the beginning of a public speech, to improve attention and appreciation of the audience (many stories in this collection could be used in this manner). Stories in this booklet were collected over the past 60 years, for their originality, intelligence and comic value, having been told and retold to family and friends - who recently suggested this publication, in the hope of a mutually enjoyed attention and laughter.
About the Author
THEODOR BONSTEDT is a retired psychiatrist; he dedicates this booklet to Dorothy, his wife of 61 years (who listened to all these stories), also to their three children (one of whom suggested the book title), and two grandchildren (one of whom created the front cover). These stories – when used by public speakers – will offer proof that in the age of technology, a well spoken word is still an enduring aspect of humanity.
