About the Author
Renee Pierce Williams was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. After college, she began her 17-year career at Aflac. She held positions focusing mainly in the Marketing and Legal Documentation areas of the company. Renee's love for animals began at a very early age. Throughout her life, she has raised and cared for all types of animals, large and small. She began showing horses around age 12. She joined the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) in 1998, and began showing professionally. She currently owns and operates an in-home pet care business she started n 2002 called Animates. Renee currently lives in Midland, Georgia with her husband, Bill, daughter, Shelby, 2 horses, Sparky's Lucky Andy (Andy), and Intangible Jet (Floyd), 2 birds (Dolly and Miss Poof), and dog (Dobby).
