About the Author

Derrick M. Richardson A native New Yorker, Derrick M. Richardson grew up in Brooklyn New York. Known to many as a Gentle Giant however, descriptively the affectionate title only pay homage to his outer appearance and personality and lends very little to his gigantic writing ability. Derrick comes off blazing in this one of a kind collection of poetry. Finding his connection with his Creator, spiritual writings invoke the mind of the reader to take a look into the "possible" and reverse the "impossible. Through many years of seeking his own solace and finding hope in sobriety, Derrick speaks for many others who speak like hummingbirds from the heart. Experiences of incarceration and drug use has brought Derrick to a common place sought by many. Through the tunnels of life Derrick reaches higher and higher to prove that the better man lives within and it is he that believe in himself than wins any battle before them. Derrick has attended various colleges and now attends Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn where he will obtain his degree in Social Work.
