About the Book

Ex-Warlock Abel Crochet, forced to flee from his comfortable cottage on Old Mars after the poofing  of his wife-witch, settles in New Oslo on planet Hepzibah.  

In an ancient House of Ill Repute & Fast Food Take-Away he establishes Warlock's Bar & Grille, works hard to make a success of his new business with the help of a Real Estate Salesghoul from Better Hutch and Dungeon, Inc.;  Myron Glaser, a Jewish Master Builder; and Boy the Werewolf Bartender;  

The Host of Warlock's  adroitly handles the problems of the Lief Ericsson Viking's annual fund-raising raid; Ghoul Scout Troop No 2  and their annual (marijuana-laced) cookie sale;  and the shoot-out on Duke of Wellington Street between two Lorne Greenegrasslands cattle barons.

That's not all, but you get the idea. Nothing really terrifying or wicked, except a few ghouls, ghosts, goblins, banshees, witches, wizards, ax murderers, pirates, bloody mayhem, and misapplied black arts!

About the Author

Don Callander is a 70-year-old retired travel writer/photographer and graphic designer now living in Orange City, Florida. His first published novel was Pyromancer. Since then he has published four additional novels in his ‘Mancer series, and three in his Dragon series. They are Pyromancer, Aquamancer, Geomancer, Aeromancer, Marbleheart; and Dragon Companion, Dragon Rescue, and Dragon Tempest. Don was born in Minneapolis, brought up in Duluth, Minnesota, and graduated from high school there before enlisting in the U. S. Navy in l947. After serving four years on active duty (including the Korean War) he transferred to the Naval Reserve where he served as a ‘weekend warrior’ for twenty additional years. He settled in Washington, D.C., where he married, raised four children, and worked on the Washington Post newspaper and in National Headquarters of the American Automobile Association (40,000,000 members!) until his retirement in l991.
