This is a book about the trees and forests of Mt. Rainier National Park. Intended for the layperson, with minimal technical jargon the text explains the factors that influence forest composition. In the non-scientific realm, the book also relates personal feelings about the beauty of the park

About the Author

A former Software Engineer and teacher, Susan McDougall is currently pursuing her interests in writing and independent scientific research. Born in the Pacific Northwest, she has written personal reminisces of her childhood. She has also completed a book about the forests of Mt. Rainier. With the goal of enhancing the experiences of visitors to the national park, this work is written in non-technical language.
