Web of Love is a remake of They Shall Mount Up, published by Vantage Press in 1997 and now out of print. Von, a fair-skinned African-American, learns to cope with racism, addiction, and low self -esteem, all the while maintaining fierce loyalty to her family. The many characters constitute a cross-section of the black experience from the crude to the cultured.

About the Author

Born in 1911, Norma Richardson- Dade was legally adopted and grew up in New Jersey. In 1978 she retired from teaching in Washington, D. C. Now a widowed great-grandmother, she resides in Atlanta with her son and his family.
