About the Author

Brenda was born in Lansing, Michigan. She has traveled the continent as a professional musician, from Prince Edward Island to Cordova, Alaska, to Fort Myers Beach, Florida. She has traveled that lonely highway of a performing musician, from working with Marty Robbins in Nashville to leading bands at Blues Festivals in Southwest Florida. Brenda has paid her dues in life, including serving in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. Semper fidelis, the Marine Corps motto, surely applies in developing the courage, strength, and desire that were needed to follow her passion to be a musical artist. Writing a novel fulfilled a lifelong desire and was one of Brenda’s greatest challenges. This book took several years to complete, with her overcoming a life-threatening illness and keeping a promise to her mother prior to her death to follow through and finish this story. Now Brenda has just completed her first novel, The Breeding Ground, which will be the first of many to invigorate the imagination of readers.
