About the Book

Grandma Stone lived with her daughter, my Aunt Lucille, at Cove Fort. Cove Fort was a very small town in Utah with a country store, a few cot-tages, and the fort. Although off the beaten path, it was a place where special things were bound to happen.

About the Author

Elesa: Mary Elesa Miner was born in Phoenix, Arizona, where she and her husband, Don, raised their four children. She graduated from Arizona State University in Clinical Laboratory Science, Summa Cum Laude, and has always had a great love of education. Elesa loves birds, especially hummingbirds, and has several bird feeders in her backyard where she watches crazy bird antics daily. She and her husband are retired and have twelve wonderful grandchildren whom they love to visit. Alma: Alma Rogers is Elesa’s younger sister who fell in love with Grandma Stone and her hummingbird when the story was shared with her. Alma is third-grade teacher and loves teaching children to love reading. Recognizing a gem of a story and wanting to use it in her class, she felt pushed to help her sister get it published. What you are holding in your hands is the result of their efforts. Alma lives in Northern California with her husband and five boys. Carol A. Pulliam is a self-taught artist who began painting in high school. She has a passion for pure, bright color. With the use of only the primary colors, plus white, Carol creates a beautiful range of hues. Her main medium is acrylics, although she also likes working with charcoal, pastels, and watercolors. Carol is an award-winning artist, and she is an active member of the Fremont Art Association. She has participated in open studios, gallery shows, and private exhibitions. Carol has four children, four grandchildren, and lives with her husband, Tom, in California.
