About the Author

A native of Mobile, AL., Steve Tillman is a retired United Methodist Church minister, now pastoring a small part-time congregation. He is married to Marion Ingram Tillman, a retired elementary school teacher. They have one very special child, a son, Stephen, whom God has blessed as a gospel soloist. Mr. Tillman has written as a corporate engineering writer, newspaper editor and free-lance inspirational author. He also has compiled a collection of spiritual poetry. Mr. Tillman is a graduate of William Carey University, Hattiesburg, MS. He attended South Western Baptist Theological Seminary and completed his UM studies at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. The Tillman family make their home in Soso, MS. They minister together in their church and through gospel concerts featuring Stephen and their story of God's faithfulness in sustaining their family. "When Was God Born" is about just that and what it means to all children of all ages. Mr. Tillman is completing another book to answer some questions about the special gift Jesus gave us when He went back to heaven to be with Father God: His Holy Spirit!
