Mona Travels to Peru

About the Book

As winter approaches its time for Mona the Monarch butterfly to seek warm weather. She starts her journey alone hoping to find her relatives and together fly from North America to the mountains of central Mexico. Mona decided to rest her wearied black, orange and white wings on a ship that was oncoming land. While traveling she met new friends who motivated her to continue her voyage. Will Mona make it to Mexico? Do you think she will reunite with her relatives again?

About the Author

Dr. Wanda Delgado- Albizu is the Latino Literacy Now award-winning author of a bilingual book titled Mona the Story of a Monarch Butterfly. She is a New Jersey retired schoolteacher. Also known as Ms. Wanda devotes her time to traveling, exercising, writing and lecturing on children’s books. She lives with her family in Vineland, New Jersey. Dra. Wanda Delgado –Albizu es la ganadora de el premio “Latino Literacy”, premiado como autora de un libro bilingue titulado Mona “ La Historia de una Mariposa Monarca”, Ella es maestra retirada de New Jersey. Conocida tambien como “ Ms. Wanda , dedica su tiempo viajando, hacienda ejercicios, escribiendo, y dando charlas de sus libros. Ella vive con su familia en Vineland, NJ.
