The Subspace transmitter beeped with an incoming call, and everyone simultaneously groaned. “Dammit,” Kyle cursed, “I thought I told Marris to butt out!” Kyle answered the incoming call and was greeted by none other than Stathl’en. “Catch you at a bad time?” he asked. “Uh... no, why?” Kyle lied. “We just got something strange,” Stathl’en said, “A ship just appeared in Dragon’taan orbit. We don’t know who they are or what they want, and they’re not answering hails.” “Uncle, why are you telling me?” Kyle asked. “Well, I thought you might be able to recognize the ship, and... well... see it for yourself,” Stathl’en said. Immediately, a sensor image was bounced down to the transmitter screen. Kyle frowned, staring intently at this alien ship with a most peculiar shape. It conformed to none of the military or civilian standards of any race Kyle knew of. Finally, Vincent asked what was on everyone’s mind: “What the hell is that?”

About the Author
I am a young, enthusiastic writer that has been writing stories since the fourth grade. I’ve had a long time to perfect my skills as an author, and I very much enjoy writing books. For me, writing books is something personal, something that I always enjoyed—again, I’ve been doing this a long time, and I publish the books to allow others to see my work. Publishing a book (or multiple books) has always been a dream of mine ever since I moved to, well, where I am now. As for where exactly that is, well, I’d like to keep that—more or less—classified. All I can tell you is that it’s quiet out here, and I’d like to keep it that way.
