Lines Of Life

About the Book

This book is about life and the experiences in life. Though no two lives are the same I believe that for the most part we share the same basic experiences. There are eight parts of this book. It starts with thought provoking and feel good poems and then progresses to the deeper and darker poems. Part four is about a lost youth which should shed some light on some of the other poems. Life is a full range of feelings and emotions. I hope this book expresses them all. The good, bad, and ugly.

About the Author

I was born in 1982 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I was a military brat and moved around often. The different people and places gave me a good sense of culture. I believe culture is important to any writer. I have had a lot of ups and downs in my life, too many downs that were self inflicted. The better for my writings. As of now I am 32 but have lived the life of someone much older. My ups are I served briefly in the U.S. Navy. I was once engaged and in love and had a good up bringing. The downs are being in the streets, drugs, gangs, and prison. In the end over coming the ups and downs is what counts.
