A Call to Unity

This call to unity is not a new revelation from God. It is a reminder to the body of the Christ of the instructions we have been given regarding our relationships with God (the one most high), Jesus the Christ, the Holy Spirit, and other believers in the body of the Christ. I was called to this ministry some two decades ago and as a result of felling unworthy did not act on this call. Caught up in the ideology of the world this task seemed daunting and insurmountable. Thank God for moments of clarity as fleeting as they may be. In my feeble attempt to become like the Christ I kept coming across a very simple concept taught by our Lord himself. Jesus tells us he says what the Father says. He simply repeated what he had been given. In this world of needing to make good impressions and finding and giving inspiration could the answer to my dilemma be so simple. For you see I have been indeed one of the little rock head boys. Disobedience became a way of life as the sin of my self-centeredness enslaved me. Example after example of what was contrary to what the Word says seemed be honored and rewarded by those around me. It was when I began to look inside of me the real problem was revealed. The problem was not in what I saw or experienced on the outside but in my perception and expectations. Jesus gave the only answer needed when He commanded us to love one another.
