About the Book

There are so many people to thank for putting up with my obsession to write my poems. First and foremost is my husband who has, literally, the patience of a saint and has supported my efforts to a point of waking up in the middle of the night just to listen to one of my new poems, and his constant encouragement to write this book. I also want to thank my family, friends, and all those who follow my website and leave me inspiring comments, which enable me to continue. About the Author

My first book, Poems of the Soul, is a collection of my finest award-winning poems received from numerous contests from a worldwide poetry website www.allpoetry.com. I started writing poetry many years ago when the feeling moved me but I didn’t take it too seriously until a year ago when life slowed down and finally had gained some leisure time. Being of a quiet nature I’ve always held my deepest feelings captive, but once I started writing again they poured out like Niagara Falls on a rainy day. Writing one or two poems daily, I decided to host my own poetry site on Facebook. Not knowing what the response would be, I was pleasantly surprised with all the beautiful feedback. I’ve written over three hundred poems since October of 2014, and I am still going strong. This book is compiled of many different scenarios. I simply write what I feel at any particular time and enjoy entering my poems into contests that provide subject prompts such as fiction, nonfiction, the dark side, and others that will tickle your funny bone.
