About the Book

This story came about from an actual occurrence with Carol Ann Conlin (the author and illustrator) and her pet, Pugsley (a king pug). Whenever Pugsley could get the chance, he enjoyed sneaking a slurp of Carol Ann’s delicious hot tea.

About the Author

Carol Ann Conlin is one of thirteen children. Carol Ann was born in Paris, Ontario, Canada, and grew up in Brantford, Ontario. Carol Ann is a graduate of Mohawk College, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She graduated with a certificate in graphic design and received a certificate of appreciation from the College Board of Governors of Honorable Mention in Creative Writing in 1997. This award was for placing second in creative writing for her short story “An Extraterrestrial’s Opinion,” written in March 1997. Some of her writing was published in a yearly publication of Kairos offered by the staff and students of Mohawk College. Carol Ann has also won several awards for her art work.
