About the Book
“The Empty House” is an illustrated poem about a derelict house somewhere out in the countryside. There is a strangeness about the old property that compels the writer to make frequent visits to it. I went to the empty house today, The house without a door, And all I saw were cracked panes And a dirty, broken floor. It appears that the old house has nothing to offer anymore as a means of shelter, but after further visits, the writer discovers that this is not quite the case.
