365 REFLECTIONS 1. The dawn and freshness of a New Year is upon us. The birth of a new ‘You’ emerges ready to welcome and embrace the New Year with all its mysteries waiting to unfold. We rejoice in this precious moment. (NEW YEAR) 2. Ignorance is a death sentence to the mind that can only be revoked when acknowledgement, effort and education are combined. 3. You were born a dynamic, unique individual. As such, you can only be you. You cannot be cloned. There is none like you. 4. Procrastinators are nothing doers. The talk goes on forever without action. 5. Life is about being present, being aware of its many changing cycles and making the necessary adjustments to keep abreast of what is happening. 6. You are present. Do you. Capture every precious moment of the day. 7. Love, when projected/provided for good and not for attainment is indeed precious and sacred. 8. One should not allow their inconsistencies to become their consistencies as a normal way of life. 9. Death is the ultimate equalizer. 10. You are above ground. Make it work. 11. Better to be proactive than to be reactive. You end up saving lots of energy, time and money. 12. Common sense is not so common. Hopefully, with education it can become more common or with education the common can surface. 13. I am not responsible for your interpretation of any statement I make. 14. Explain it. Never assume that it is self-explanatory. 15. Knowledge is definitely a force to be reckoned with. I am experiencing it every day. 16. In my perception of knowing, I realize that I do not know anything, and I am humbled by that thought. Not knowing sets the precedence for a life long journey of learning. 17. Oftentimes, the most important facet of communication is not what is said, but what is not said. Be careful; it can be frightening.

Sharon Gittens, pen name Gittesh, is a freelance writer. She has been compiling her reflections for many years but has never considered a publication until quite recently, when she realized the quantity that she had amassed. She has been writing various articles, short stories, letters, and poems for many years. She is an avid gardener, a coloring enthusiast, and enjoys designing and creating unique high-end costume jewelry. She has already started to compile her reflections for her second volume and looks forward to enlightening her readers with more of her inspirational reflections.
