About the Author

Crystal Vouse is an African American single mother who resides in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. She has a 7 year old son. She is 26 years of age. Born and raised in New York Crystal was raised by her parents in the East New York section of Brooklyn lived there for 22 years of her life. Crystal grew up listening to all types of music mainly because her father Donald Vouse was and is still today a musician. Donald Vouse exposed Crystal to various types of culture such as plays, musicals and concerts. Crystal still to this day enjoys those things. Crystal discovered her love for writing at the tender age of 14. The pastors wife in the church she grew up in is responsible for this. There was a service in church and she was asked to participate. Crystal loved to sing but was too shy to sing solo. That night she decided to write a poem. The words just started flowing and from then on Crystal loved writing and vowed that one day she would publish her poems and her novels.
