About the Book

Three blooming short stories sautéed and seasoned from the quintessential city of New Orleans. Each fictional story covers a period in the real life of an African American female’s quest for making joy, an expression of self-love. Throughout the book, the author uses innuendos from ancestors, songs, speeches, biblical passages, and the profound laws of nature.

About the Author

Amauunet Ashe is a first-time writer born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, mother of two, and a lifelong advocate for individuals with special needs and those faced with social injustice. She is currently working with Young Audiences of Louisiana as an arts integration teaching instructor and artist.
