About the Author

Wayne L. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a Master of Science in Business Administration from Madonna University, and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Capella University. In addition, Dr. Davis has earned a helicopter pilot license, an advanced open water scuba diving certification, a technician plus amateur radio license (N8ZFG), and a basic emergency medical technician certificate from the State of Michigan.

Dr. Davis has several other academic and textbook publications. He has also taught graduate and undergraduate college courses at several different colleges, including Trine University, South University, Waldorf College, and Aiken Technical College. Dr. Davis specializes in converting English logical statements (i.e., the law) into mathematical logical statements in order to determine the truth values of laws, police reports, and the actions of police officers and residents. In other words, Dr. Davis uses English and truth values (Boolean algebra) to articulate the legality of police actions.
