About the Book

This novel is about a group of friends from Oakland, California, that gained love and respect for one another at a young age. Each lived different lives but had the same struggles: bills with no money, negative guidance, and influence as role models. Through loyalty, passion, deceit, and love, no matter what friends they all accumulated, they manage to ride or die through it all, hustling to the death do them together. All stayed focused on their own talents, gifts, or tricks of their trade even though the system’s vision for them was failure. They did not let that stop them. They adapted to getting money, gun violence, and high tolerance to that good Cali weed. The Oakland friends had one mission: making it out alive and on top by any means necessary.

About the Author

Born on July 10, 1984, in Berkeley, California, Sherika Moore is an independent Artist who goes by the name Rico Da Don-Diva. Moore was inspired by the greats Karen White, Johnny Gill, Tupac Shakur, and Yoyo. She has had an eye for music and entertainment for as long as she could remember. Some days she would sit for hours pretending she was a big-time star entertaining the world. Sherika was the center of attention to the public eye but considered the black sheep in her family. She took her pain and emotions at a young age and turned it into art and poetry. Sherika’s teenage years was full of loneliness and identity crisis. In school, she became active in every program, from African dancing and choir, to leadership and cheer-leading. Graduating a scholarship honor roll student at Encinal H. School in Alameda, California, only added to Moore’s many accomplishments. Moore’s passion is giving back, making a difference, and being a part of a positive movement. Her talents and charisma make people cling to her naturally. She is a born star, bursting with prolific flavor. She is hot, fresh, and ready to take on the industry with her new single, “I Love Money,” published book Just Listen, and clothing line Lady Dame.
