Gary wrote this book for family and close friends, to share what each deployment year was like and what he can remember about the different military deployments.

About the Author

Gary J. Gillen served a total of twenty-five years in the military—two years in the US Army and twenty-three years in the US Air Force Red Horse, Pennsylvania Air National Guard. He retired as MSgt (E-7). Gary and Harriet live in the Palmyra, Pennsylvania, area. Gary has three children—daughter Ashley Gillen Binder and two stepsons, Tom Oliver and Mark Oliver—as well as a son-in-law, Matt Binder; daughter-in-law, Erin Oliver; wife of Tom and grandson, Asher James (AJ) Oliver, son of Tom & Erin.
