About the Book

Believe: A Mothers Journey through Grief begins when my son David, at the tender age of 23, is stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage and during the days that followed before he passed. Overwhelmed by my loss, I struggle to learn to live without him. The black abyss of grief consumes me. My journey is twisted and rocky. I have lost myself. I miss the person I used to be. Years later, an acquaintance introduces me to the writings of James Van Praagh, the world-renowned spirit medium. His books help me to clarify happenings in my life and to show me in so many ways how our loved ones communicate with us through spirit. Knowing that David and I can communicate with each other helps to heal my hurting heart. I know David is near me.

About the Author

I have always enjoyed playing with words. Reading is my favorite pastime. Shortly after the untimely death of my son David, I began writing poetry. Being unable to speak of his passing, putting words on paper helped heal my hurting heart. Over a period of years, this manuscript has had many starts and stops. When writing became too painful, I would put my jottings away, only to take them out again and forge ahead. Over and over. A little voice inside me kept saying, “You have to finish this. Reach out to others who have also lost loved ones.” Our passed loved ones do contact us through spirit. We just have to listen and watch. I live with my husband in Rhode Island. We are blessed to have two loving grown sons and daughters-in-law and five super grandchildren.
