A Special Day for Aki tells the story of a young Japanese girl who is celebrating Girl’s Day, a very special day in Japan. Aki ends the day a bit wiser and a little more grown up than she was before.
About the Author
Bette Jackman LoBue, a native of the Tampa Bay area of Florida’s west coast, holds a master’s degree in English from the University of South Florida. Ms. LoBue, an educator for twenty-two years, has worked with children of all grade levels from preschool through twelfth grade, including honors English to high school seniors, and also French and poetry to gifted first and third graders in a summer program at USF. This versatile writer is also the author of Time Probe, a suspense novel set in Washington, DC. Ms. LoBue’s hobbies include music, art, and languages. She divides her time between the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and the sunny shores of the St. Petersburg Gulf beaches.
