About the Book
This book is about the trials and tribulations that I have gone through and survived only by the grace of God. They are a testimony of his love and mercy. These poems will inspire anyone who is struggling in life to look to God because he is the solution to your every problem. Your friends will leave you in times of need. They will sometimes lead you down the wrong path, but God said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” You can trust him when all else fails, and when you feel all alone, he will stick closer than a brother, sister, mother, father, or friend. He did it for me, and he will do the same for you.
About the Author
I give honor to God for all the wonderful things he has done in my life. He has brought me through many trials and tribulations when I did not think I would make it through. I have learned to be grateful for all the wonderful things he has done in my life and the wonderful things he continues to do. It is God who has given me the ability to believe that I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. My mother was always much more strict with me than my siblings, and I never understood or knew why, but now I know that she has always wanted what was best for me. It was not to hurt me, but to make me strong and show me tough love. It was to teach me that I could accomplish whatever I wanted in life if I put my best foot forward at all times. I started going to church at the early age of six. We lived with my grandmother, who made us go to church every Sunday whether rain, sleet, or snow. I was very shy and seldom said anything. When I became an adult, I started attending various churches of different denominations. I now have so many great men and women of God in my life; it is so awesome. I have always loved typing. I did not know I would someday use my typing abilities to write a book. I graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1977 and received my BS degree from Alcorn State in secretarial science on May of 1981. I have been encouraged by so many people to write this poetry book, and so here I am, making the dream of a lifetime finally come true.
