About the Book

Through the years, I have written poems, and now I wish to share them with you. My family has been an inspiration, and my love of nature is quite evident. When I was a child, my father recited poetry to me, and as I grew up, it seemed natural to write my own views of life down on paper. There is a variety, and I hope you will find your favorite. In between the covers, There is a poem that’s right for you. There’s a poem here for the lover And the nature lover too. A poem here for each step in life, For the toddler and the old. Words that stay within the mind Are treasures to behold.

About the Author

Shirley Derosier’s love for poetry began as a young girl, when her father recited poems to her. She began writing poetry while in school. Through the years, life experiences inspired her to write, and as a result, she has gathered a wide variety of verses representing shared human emotions. Shirley is a Maine native. Along with her love of writing, she enjoys sewing, knitting, gardening, and dabbling in painting. In these books, you will find that her love of family, friends, and nature have been an immense influence on her writings.
