The Adventures of Harry the Flamingo and George the Parrot

About the Book

There were two birds, a flamingo and a parrot, an unlikely pair to become best buddies. How they met is a mystery, but their destiny was orchestrated by God. God loves us so much that he sometimes picks the people we least expect to be our friends to go with us and experience adventures that deserve a friend to share with. Harry the Flamingo is from an island in the Bahamas called Great Inagua Island. George the Parrot is from the island of Great Abaco in the Bahamas. He is named the Abaco parrot in his country. George and Harry live 1,147 miles apart, on two different islands. They are of two different species, but they both believe in the One True God. God has a plan for each one of us, no matter the distance or our differences. This is just the beginning of the many adventures that Harry the Flamingo and George the Parrot will share together.

About the Author

I am a native of the Bahamas, was born in the month of January, and is married to the love of my life and best friend, and is the mother of two fabulous sons. Growing up, I always had a passion and love for children. I wanted to be a pediatrician but ended up in the classroom teaching instead. After teaching for a number of years, I eventually opened and operated a learning center of my own on the island of Abaco, in the Bahamas, for seven years. I love to travel and to try new foods and experiment with different recipes. I love the outdoors and journaling. My first priority is to be obedient to God and then to be a wife to my husband, a mother and cheerleader for my children, and a servant unto others. I am an advocate for all children. I know this is the purpose that God has for my life. I believe that every child deserves to be loved and treated with respect. I am always ready to give a hug or a smile to any child that needs it. I’ve had the privilege of being a part of many children’s lives, and my desire is to continue making positive impacts on the lives of many more children in the future!
