As the US and Cuba move closer to establishing normal relations, greater opportunities open up for travel to this mysterious and beautiful Caribbean island nation. The country’s capital, Havana, is itself going through a transition. Habana Vieja, the old city of Havana, dates back nearly five hundred years to the Spanish conquistadors, and its remarkable churches, palaces, castles, monuments, and other antique buildings are now being restored. Havana, with its friendly people and potent energy, is a photographer’s dream, and its images are a tribute to the allure of this fascinating and remarkable city. Havana—there you go!

About the Author

Born in London, Michael Dalling lives in Los Angeles and has travelled the world in his jobs as both a journalist and a publicity and marketing executive in the international film industry. In England, he wrote and produced a number of radio shows about films and directed film industry documentaries and interviews for television. Moving to LA, he established his own movie publicity company representing clients at the world’s leading film festivals. In the past few years, he has devoted his time to travel photography, including a three-month journey across Siberia and his recent visit to Cuba.
