About the Book This is the way it is from the Heart is all my Poetry from 1992 till present day. The poems relate to sadness, trauma, humour, everyday life, relationships, dark side, Environment, and Mother Nature. Something within my book could relate to you the reader. I have experienced some of the poems within this book. You should enjoy reading it may make you cry or laugh but you will enjoy reading.. Paul Pattinson

About the Author

I am now aged fifty-four, having been born in Barrow in Furness in 1962. I have lived a very varied life, residing in many places throughout the United Kingdom. I live alone and am now very settled in a small village in Somerset, United Kingdom. My employment history includes being a qualified carpenter, working in security, and having other assorted work. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2005 and have been unable to work since. Despite this horrid and degenerative disease, I have tried to keep a cheerful disposition and continue to do so. Though wheelchair-bound now, with much support, I was even able to learn to fly a Cessna 252 plane! It was a truly awe-inspiring moment. My poetry and artwork are also great achievements of mine, especially since I am only able to use one hand as a consequence of having a ministroke a few years back. I will continue to draw, paint, and write for as long as I possibly can, and I hope to bring further enjoyment to many adults or children.
