About the Author
Author Stephen Bowker started his writing in 1987 while attending Belmont Senior High School. The first thing he ever wrote was a court scene for the school play, which never got to see the stage. He was encouraged by his teachers to pursue his creativity and passion for writing, which he did for many years in between work and family commitments. He is the father of two children, one boy and a girl. The place in the books, although fictional, is derived from Halls Creekâa small country town in the far north of Western Australia. After a holiday there in 2001, he set about writing the following books to the series and is still writing to this day, with a new book to the series in progress.
