About the Book

In Jesus Keeps Singing over Us, Adjoua opens her heart and shares in poetry form some of her experiences as a Christian and how it has been a blessing for her. Based on the Bible verse Zephaniah 3:17, her poetry comes straight from her personal life and how she has seen the Lord work. She has known him to be a God that sings over His people. She has poems such as “His Righteous Ways,” where she writes about being saved and how his righteousness is transforming her into someone special. Her poem “Waves of Grace” gets into the power of living in a dying world but not having the burden of it affecting her. Her poetry stands out because it invites the reader to a sacred place of worship where she praises Jesus Christ. All are welcomed to join in. Adjoua wants to declare to the world everything she knows so far about this awesome God! And if you don’t know him, now is the chance . . . through poetry.

About the Author

Adjoua Purnell resides in Sierra Vista Arizona, but her first home is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was raised. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from Wayland Baptist University. She is a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She loves to evangelize in the park. Spreading the gospels was a mission the Lord put on her heart to do since 1996. She also has a heart for individuals struggling with mental health issues, and she can be found providing skills training and peer support to those individuals at the Wellness Connections in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
