About the Book

A young girl named Jamie and her brother Sam are looking to get a pet. They go to a wonderful place called Paws, Claws, Bills, and Gills and meet a girl named Cassie. Cassie tells Jamie and Sam all about the importance of adopting animals instead of buying them from a pet store that sells animals for profit. Cassie helps Jamie and Sam find a new lovable pet to adopt and take home to be loved by the whole family.

About the Author

Leah was raised in a family that loved animals. When she was older, she worked with many rescue groups and wanted to find loving permanent homes for as many animals as possible. She created Paws, Claws, Bills, and Gills to educate young children about the importance of adopting animals. This book was created out of love for animals and her desire to help as many as she could in her life. Her hope is that young children will learn about the importance of adoption so they will make better decisions as adults that will help all animals in the future.
