About the Book

This book is about a boy who was told that his mother was in her grave at the last minute. He became a GP but left his wife of thirteen years. He never told them of his dreams. He settled in the middle of Africa. He operated on the chieftain’s wife by the crudest cesarean section, and a piece of land was given to him.

About the Author

The author graduated with a degree in medicine in 1966 from UERMMMC and then worked in Mayoyao, Ifugao, from 1966 to 1967 (eighteen months); at Theodore’s Hospital in Sagada Mountain Province in 1978 (twelve months); at Tabuk, Kalinga-Apagao from 1969 to 1975 (six years); at Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, in 1976 (twelve months); at Parramatta District Hospital in 1978–1979 (eighteen months); had a private practice in Blacktown, New South Wales from 1979 to 2009; and retired in 2010.
