About the Book

The Concept of Love is a way of protecting yourself as you try your hand at love. Love is the greatest feeling in life, so why is there so much pain and suffering attached to it? All my life, I have seen many attempts at love, including my own. I’ve learned the root cause of what’s going wrong with love. The half-heart concept allows us to keep in mind the conceptual view of love, from where love begins to the creation of eternal love. It also teaches us how to avoid and be aware of what love is not, which is the cause of all our suffering in love. The half-heart shape is you. It represents the love you have for yourself, which is where love begins, and it should look like you. Once you love yourself for everything you are and begin to look for your talents, skills, and who you truly are, then you’ll become the half-heart image—one that is unique to only you. As you live your life seeing how important you are in it, there will come a time when you will be interested in the possibility of loving outwardly. You will then use the three stages of love in their conceptual comprehension to guide you safely through love. It will be the half hearts who will change the course of love and, in essence, begin to change the world as a whole.

About the Author

The author’s name is Larry Elkins. He was born in Aurora, Colorado, in Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in October of 1971. His parents, Charles David and Angie Pauline Elkins, were one of a kind. They showed him what true love really was, every day of the short time he had with them. When he was thirteen years old, his mom passed away from a long, hard-fought-out battle with cancer. Three months later, his dad died of a broken heart from his mom dying. The love, honor, and respect he had learned from them set the tone for his life’s journey. He became the luckiest father in the world when his two amazing children, ToneRay and Breanna, were born. He began fixing furniture for a company that sold furniture. A few years later, he created his own repair business. Later on in his life, he joined an Internet business. In 2015, he moved to California with Rosalva Segovia to recreate himself, now that his children are older and enjoying their lives and starting their families. He is currently a sales manager / motivational speaker for a marketing company and a public speaker / debate instructor.
