Discovering a New Ground After the Storm is based on a true story in 2010. It will always remain an unforgettable year to Angela Day, due to the suicide of her only son. It is from a support group of other parents of children who committed suicide that Angela found her mission—to tell the story of a parent who did not know the personal struggles of her child and to show that there is life after suicide. This true story was written to teach you how to transition from your heavy burdens and cares of this world, to encourage you when all hope is gone, and to show you how to connect to your inner spirit and find peace to carry you through your storm while standing on the promises of God’s word in Romans 8:28 and Isaiah 55:8–9.

About the Author

Author Angela Day is a native of Washington, DC, who lives in Silver Spring, Maryland. She is the youngest of five sisters and was born in November 1963. Angela was inspired to write this story after she went to God and asked him for closure on the reason why her only child committed suicide in 2010.
