About the Book

Anjalie lives a life of sadness. Her mother shows no affection toward her and her sister; her dad, however, shows compassion. All that ends when she meets a mysterious boy who plays the flute. Will her life turn around for the better or for worse?

About the Author

Manisha Kalloo was born on April 26, 1996 in Brooklyn, New York. Manisha was raised by her single mom in a predominantly matriarchal family. She is heavily influenced by her East Indian heritage in addition to her West Indian and American culture. Her multicultural background provides a unique perspective that can be seen reflected throughout her narratives, woven into her creative work like a tapestry. Manisha is currently attending college but she will continue to nurture her passion for writing, storytelling and expressing her imagination through the eyes of her readers.
