About the Book

A professional boxer with a pocket full of money senses there’s something missing in his life, so he goes in search of something better. In his search for the missing link, he joins up with two Texas cowhands heading for California. They introduce him to the dangers of the West. In California, he meets a longtime boxing acquaintance who becomes his partner in founding a ranch. Eventually, a feisty redhead enters the scene, hurling him into the most important bout of his life.

About the Author

I’m just an old fogey, an Indiana Hoosier by way of the deep forest of Minnesota. So much has changed since the days I attended a little country school: so unfathomable the change, so mammoth the challenge, so suddenly we have probed the unknown. Presently, I live in a seventy-five year old body, having a mind still pressing twenty. I love writing, and I wish I were yet a young man with a lifetime of writing ahead, but then I couldn’t write with all the pathos that God has allowed me to experience—the love, the joy, the heartache and the anguish—all those things that build a person. I hope my readers find a chuckle in my humor and also experience the bond of fellowship and love that out-weighs all heartaches.
