About the Book

I had fun writing this book and illustrating these pages. I equated bubbles with unknowns in one’s life. You never know what a bubble holds as you make life’s journey. This is The Bubble Machine.

About the Author

I was born in Suffolk, Virginia at my grandparents home. Being a military man, Dad was away for about six months. When he had finished his tour, he came to Suffolk to see his second daughter. When he was told I had been named "Joyce Ann", he objected and renamed me Arvis Marie. By that time, my sister, who was only a year older had begun to call me "Joy-Joy". So instead, I was named after my Mom...Arvis Marie. I went to elementary school in Eatontown, New Jersey; middle school in Hanau, Germany and; high school at Pocono Mountain Junior-Senior High School. Boy! What a time! Finally, I received a B.A. degree in Art Education for Norfolk State College. My childhood memories are packed with a diversity of events and this coloring book reflects some of the joyful moments I've had.
