About the Author

Barbara Vaka wrote her first story when she was 10 years old. It was science fiction. In her high school yearbook, she was listed as ‘Most likely to become a writer’. She continued to write but never attempted to publish her works until her husband Peter insisted she share her exceptional stories with the reading public. Since her first published novel, Hank’s Mountain, there have been four more books for a total of five. Embroidered on The Heart, her sixth, is undoubtedly her best yet. Embroidered on the Heart is the third in a series of four novels starting with Pretty Maids and Crimes of Passion. The fourth and final novel in the Alex Mackay series, Love Happens (working title), will be released in early 2020. In addition, a sequel to Secrets is in the works with a tentative release date of May 2020. Barbara’s mind never stops.
