Through the use of comic book style illustrations, the reader can visually learn about the various battles Grant and Lee fought. Throughout this journey, a selected few battles are chosen to follow a narrative of Generals Grant and Lee, who eventually collide against one another. What sets this book apart from other renditions of the historical era is the unique perspective of Grant and Lee represented as Superheroes; both Generals character strengths and flaws are represented through symbolic nuances throughout the text.
